Fireplace Heat Reflectors from Chimney Cricket

“Fire box repairs are expensive. You can avoid repairs by installing a heat reflector today.”
“With the price of gas on the rise, why not maximize you efficiency from you gas log set?” -Jon Cerrito Jr., President, Chimney Cricket.
In an unprotected fireplace, heat is absorbed into the back
wall of the fireplace, which causes the bricks to crack and
the mortar that holds the chimney together break down,
leading to expensive repairs. With a fireplace with a heat
reflector protecting it, the back wall of the fireplace is
now exposed to 1/3 less heat. The extra heat is then
radiated back into the room where it should be, and the
damage to the fireplace is significantly reduced and or
stopped. It is also great for protecting masonry fireplaces
from heat damage and getting additional heat out of any open
fireplace (up to 42% more heat!). With the firebox heating
up and cooling down so often it becomes brittle not to
mention when you add rain to the mix, then you really are
asking for repair trouble.
How to Measure: Measure the back wall of firebox and the
grate in the fireplace and then write the width in inches.
Heat reflectors will maximize your gas and wood use on any fireplace.
